HAPPENING NOW: TRAINING ON RICE PRODUCTION AND MANAGEMENT
Over 20 rice farmers in the municipality are currently attending the Training on Rice Production and Management at the Municipal Agricultural Services Office Training Hall.

Technical personnel from the Department of Agriculture-Regional Office V discussed new, effective and sustainable farming techniques amidst the changing climate and the increased occurence of pests and diseases. The training aims to help farmers increase their yield, decrease production cost and mitigate losses in time for the next cropping cycle.

The said training is under the Special Area for Agricultural Development (SAAD) Program of the Department of Agriculture (DA) and is part of a series of information and education campaigns (IECs) being spearheaded by the Municipal Agricultural Services Office (MASO).
